On Friday, August 29, a ceremony was held to commemorate the completion of new headquarters for SB Knit Co., Ltd.-an affiliate of the Textiles Company.
Located in front of JR Gosen Station in Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture, the new headquarters were built using a "system construction" method. Aluminum curtain walling along the exterior walls and entranceways is used in a glass wall surface that contributes to the stylishly original appearance of the new offices. With a spacious office area and a permanent showroom inside, the headquarters will also function as a center for introducing project ideas from local knitters.
Starting in the afternoon, a completion ceremony and reception were held with about 200 related persons in attendance, including Sumikin Bussan President Amaya and President, Textiles Company Eguchi. SB Knit President Tsuzuki kicked off the ceremony with the words, "We aim to disseminate ideas to the world from these new headquarters and contribute to the development of knitting centers in Japan, with focus on Gosen." Gosen City Mayor Igarashi, Gosen Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Yamada, Gosen Knit Association Director Kiryu and other honored guests also gave complimentary speeches. |
